Bitcoin is back in the spotlight after Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that it could reach a value of 1 million dollars by the end of the decade. As reported by CoinDesk, Armstrong rarely shares price predictions, which is why this one attracted significant attention.
Bitcoin and bold expert predictions
However, the Coinbase CEO is not the only proponent of this vision. Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Block and former head of the social network X, also expects Bitcoin to surpass the 1 million dollar mark before 2030. A similar opinion is shared by Cathie Wood of Ark Invest, who recently raised her projection to 3.8 million dollars, with institutional adoption being the main driver of growth. Robert Kiyosaki also shares the same price forecast.
These optimistic predictions come at a time when Bitcoin is already breaking records. It recently surpassed the 124,000-dollar mark and is currently trading around 113,000 dollars, according to TradingView. Since the beginning of the year, it has grown by more than 21%.

- 1 million could be a problem: According to Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, 1 million dollars per BTC would not be a victory but a warning that the US economy is in serious trouble. This scenario would allegedly occur only in the event of economic chaos, Novogratz said in an interview with Natalie Brunell.
Digital gold of the future
For many investors, Bitcoin is increasingly being seen as an alternative to traditional safe havens like gold. Its ability to serve as protection against inflation and independence from monetary policy strengthens the argument for its long-term value.
Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, recently stated that within the next five months, the price could rise to 200,000 dollars, according to Cointribune. He added that even this outlook could be conservative.
Such predictions support the notion that Bitcoin could establish itself as a key asset of global financial markets in the next decade. If the boldest scenarios are realized, Bitcoin could become a historical example of a digital asset that surpassed expectations and fundamentally changed global investment strategies.
What happens if BTC surpasses a million?
According to CoinTelegraph, several factors could enable this milestone. These include limited supply, institutional interest, global adoption, and regulatory environment. With price growth, the FOMO effect (fear of missing out) would increase significantly, institutional capital would flow in, and overall, it would represent a fundamental shift in the global financial landscape.
